In many jurisdictions, programs sponsored by the AAEP are considered valid CE regardless of RACE approval. Each state board has its own requirements regarding the number of online (also known as: distance, anywhere, non-interactive) credits that may be applied toward licensure. There may also be restrictions on the number of non-medical (i.e. business or wellness) credits that apply toward licensure. Enrollees in online CE should check with their state veterinary board for complete information.
Once you have successfully completed the course, you will receive a downloadable .pdf certificate of completion. This form is for your own records. DO NOT SEND TO AAEP. Use this record to help you meet license renewal or academy requirements. Your certificate will reside in your AAEP Anywhere dashboard: select “My Account” and then “My Certificates.” A copy of the certificate is automatically emailed to you upon completing a course. Store the emailed certificate in an easily accessible place for your records.
Documentation of this type for license renewal and tax deduction purposes is similar. The individual licensed veterinarian is responsible for the accuracy of his or her own CE records. A license renewal form is a legal document that cannot be falsified without risking the loss of your license.
